Peru and Bolivia Cultural Tour

In the afternoon, we begin our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid,” a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century A.D., considered a “sacred village” by the Incas. The Viceroyalty of Peru was the most important of the Spanish Empire, and Lima was its capital. We will visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you’ll see over fifty colonial monuments and buildings, including the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, Basilica Cathedral, City Hall, and more. The tour includes entrance to San Francisco and its Catacombs. Our excursion continues through the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, where we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of Lima’s bay.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a guided tour of the city of Cusco and four nearby archaeological sites.

Our tour begins with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, which houses magnificent works of craftsmanship and a collection of paintings from the "Cusco School." Next, we’ll visit the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), built during the Inca era in honor of their main deity, the Sun god. Today, it features impressive examples of Inca architecture alongside the Convent of Santo Domingo.

We’ll then head to the outskirts of the city to visit four archaeological sites located nearby. First, we’ll see the imposing Sacsayhuamán, where you can observe stones up to 9 meters tall and weighing 120 tons, fitted together with incredible precision. Just 1 kilometer away lies the Inca ceremonial center of Qenqo. Next is Puka Pukara, believed to have served as a military and administrative checkpoint. We’ll finish the tour at Tambomachay, where you’ll witness one of the best examples of Inca skill in water management.

Discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas on a picturesque tour where you’ll experience important archaeological sites, stunning landscapes, and local traditions. We’ll visit the town of Pisac and its artisan market, where you can shop and immerse yourself in the customs of the local people.

Admire the impressive Pisac archaeological park, nestled high on a mountain. Then, we’ll travel by bus along the right bank of the Vilcanota River, passing through various towns of the Sacred Valley until we reach Urubamba, where you’ll enjoy a comforting lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue your journey to visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress. Walk through its typical streets and climb to the top of the fortress to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

We’ll head to the bus station to begin our ascent to the citadel of Machu Picchu, arriving after approximately 30 minutes. We’ll enjoy a guided tour lasting around 2 hours and 30 minutes, during which you’ll explore and learn about this enigmatic site.

We begin our morning road trip through valleys and high plateaus to reach La Paz, one of the highest cities in the world.

We arrive in La Paz in the afternoon. Along the way, small towns and indigenous communities with landscapes filled with llamas, alpacas, and crystal-clear lagoons are visible.

Arriving in La Paz is a striking experience due to its spectacular geography. Located more than 3,600 meters above sea level, the city extends within a deep valley surrounded by the imposing Cordillera Real. You'll also be able to see the majestic Illimani Mountains upon arrival.

La Paz is a city rich in history and culture. This afternoon, you'll have free time to explore its historic center, which preserves colonial plazas, visit traditional markets, the Witches' Market, or relax in a café with panoramic views of the city.

Arrive in the Andean town of Copacabana. There will be opportunities to stop and take photographs of Lake Titicaca and the impressive Andes mountain range. Cross the Tiquina Strait by motorboat, then continue the journey, passing countless pre-Columbian agricultural terraces built by the Chiripa, Tiwanaku and Inca cultures.

In the afternoon, we will take a motorboat to the Isla del Sol, birthplace of the Inca Empire. Arrive at the southern part of the island and visit the Temple of Pilkocaina, then enjoy a scenic walk to the village of Yumani, admiring the landscape of the lake and the Royal Andean Range along the way. Descend via the Sacred Stairway and visit the Sacred Fountain of the Incas.

Return by boat to Copacabana and transfer to hotel, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the sacred lake.

We arrive early in Uyuni and set off towards the Uyuni Salt Flats. First, we visit the Train Cemetery, then we pass through Colchani, the gateway to the salt flats, where we see how the salt is processed and discover local crafts and woven goods.

Once on the salt flats, we drive past the salt mounds, the saltwater eyes, and the salt hotel. We stop at Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti (some up to 10 metres tall).

We end the day watching the sunset over the salt flats. Afterwards, we return to Uyuni to spend the night at the hotel.

We wake up in Uyuni, ready to explore one of the most breathtaking routes of the Altiplano. After breakfast, we head to the Chiguana Salt Flat. We make a stop at the viewpoint of the Ollagüe Volcano, which rises between clouds and desert.

We continue towards the Andean Lagoons. First, we visit Laguna Cañapa. Then, we explore Laguna Hedionda and Laguna Onda.

🚗In the late afternoon, we return to Uyuni.
